California Girl
Born in Santa Monica, California, I grew up in Westminster and Huntington Beach. I have lived in several Orange County cities such as Tustin, Laguna Niguel, Santa Ana, Lake Forest, Rancho Santa Margarita and Mission Viejo. I have two grown sons who are my priority and my pride and an adopted cat who I have had for many years and still keeps me guessing. I enjoy art, gardening, computers, walking, friends and family, the outdoors, a good romantic comedy and cooking. This is a photo of me and my mom.
Professional Background
I worked many many years at a well-respected South Orange County civil engineering firm as a Design Engineer. My expertise was hillside grading. I would prepare the engineering drawings for approval and final construction. You may live in one of the many residential neighborhoods I designed. I would work closely with developers, architects, land planners and city and county officials in order to coordinate a proper design and obtain the necessary permits. This professional work ethic is still a hallmark of my style.
It's An Art
I have been an artist all my life. I had my own graphic arts business for several years where I prepared camera-ready art for my client's advertising and marketing needs. I also sold and displayed my own original paintings and drawings at local fairs and galleries. I am infinitely inspired by the local California landscape with its rolling hillsides, colorful grasses and oak trees and the ever-changing skies. This painting is of Laguna Canyon entitled "Morning in the Canyon."
